Visual Arts

Carolyn Althoff [pictured below and on the right] has taught art at the Finneytown Secondary Campus since the 2002-2003 school year. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Mount St. Joseph University, and her Masters of Arts in Art Education from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Carolyn has been working within fused glass as her chosen media, which can be seen in local art shows and galleries under the business name of Comingle Fused Glass. 

Julie Ficke [pictured in the center] has taught art at the Finneytown Secondary Campus since the 1997-1998 school year. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning and her Masters of Arts in Art Education from the Miami University of Oxford. Julie has been the department chair since 2002, a position she appreciates because it gives her the opportunity to ensure a strong visual arts program within the Secondary Campus. Julie enjoys being a lifelong learner participating in education related book studies and art courses at CraftSummer and Queen City Clay.

Megan Kelly [pictured on the left] has taught art at the Finneytown Secondary Campus since the 2019-2020 school year. She has earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory Music and her Masters of Arts in Art Education from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning. Megan has worked for over 20 years as a production designer for both local and international production. Her personal practice focuses on painting, writing and mixed media.
