The Finneytown Local School District (the “District”) seeks Statements of Qualifications from design professionals to provide design and construction administration services for the District’s New K-6 Building and 7-12 Building Construction Project (the Project”). The Project is being constructed through the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission’s Expedited Local Partnership Program. Interested firms may obtain a copy of the Request for Qualifications from Terri Noe, Superintendent, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Qualifications will be accepted until noon on November 25, 2019.

In an effort to provide comprehensive programming and increase access to mental health counseling and supports, Finneytown Local School District is strengthening the bonds with community partners. Last school year, Finneytown Local School District began a partnership with MindPeace, a local organization that coordinates mental health services for educational agencies. The Council on Child Abuse visited each classroom at the end of September to teach students about bullying awareness and response. Additionally, Student Council President, Violet Kimnach, has been sharing a Bullying Awareness fact per day over morning announcements.
Students of the Month were recognized during our Monthly Whitaker Way Assembly. Students were selected based upon showing our Whitaker Way: Being Respectful, Being Responsible, Being Positive. Students received certificates and had their pictures taken to be added to the “Whitaker Way” wall poster Students of the month were treated to donuts with Mr. Anderson on Monday, October 7th. The Celebratory Breakfast is used to reinforce, incentivize, and recognize students who show the “Whitaker Way” on a regular basis.
