Change in MEAL INFORMATION FOR FINNEYTOWN SCHOOLS
We are happy to announce that the Ohio Department of Education, under the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Services, has notified our district that 100 percent of students attending Finneytown Schools are eligible for free breakfast and lunch through December 31, 2020.
What this means is that all Finneytown students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade will not be charged for meals they pickup at our food distributions on Tuesdays. This applies to Flex and Virtual Campus students.
You must order by calling Milford Food Services (numbers below – they run Finneytown’s cafeterias). It will be drivethru like during the summer. You will pick up meals on Tuesdays for Breakfast and Lunch for 7 instead of 5 days for each student.
Location – Meals will be available for pickup by parents from the Secondary Campus in the circle drive in front of the school (8916 Fontainebleau Terrace)
Days/Times – Meals will be frozen and will be available every Tuesday beginning September 8 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
HOW TO ORDER
Parents must call ONCE to register with Nutrition Services to receive meals: 576-2290 or 576-4160
You will continue to have meals ready each week unless you call to cancel.
If you ordered meals but will not pick them up one week, please call and cancel that week’s order.
We still strongly encourage families to apply for free and reduced meals, as you may be eligible for fee reductions.
Free & Reduced meal application: All families approved in previous school years MUST apply each year in the first 30 days school is in session. If you received a direct certification letter in the mail from Milford, you do not need to complete an application, but let the office know if there are any children in your household not listed on the letter (576-2290). Applications are available online or we can mail one to you if needed.
Choose “Milford-Williamsburg-Finneytown-John Paul” as the district. Complete the application but skip the “student number’ section if you don’t have this information. Pay close attention to the section that asks for permission to share application information with school officials if you have a high school student. If you would like to get a reduction in fees for AP exams, college applications and ACT/SAT exams check “YES” in each of these sections.
If you have any questions about the application process or need a paper application, please contact Milford Nutrition Services:
