Update about fall 2020 Reopening

Dear Finneytown Families,

I hope you are all doing well. The Board of Education voted to change the calendar and I wanted to give you some updates. The calendar will also be posted on our website (click here).

School for students will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, the day after Labor Day. School will still end in May. Please click here to view the updated calendar. At this moment, our county is still in Level 3 Red. If nothing changes before September 8th, school will start all eLearning,

I am extending the deadline to enroll your child in Option Two Finneytown Academy to next Friday, August 7th. We have not received information from all of the vendors we are looking at for this program and want to make a decision and share the demos with you before you have to decide. We thought we could have it all together but it hasn’t happened. Once we have it all, I will schedule a couple of Zoom meetings so you can login and ask questions. We want you to be able to make an informed decision.

In my update call with the Hamilton County Health Commissioner this morning, I learned that things are improving a small amount in our county. We are not moving to Orange yet, but we are no longer almost Purple. I will update next week so we know where we are.

I will get an email out early next week to give more information about Option One which most students will be in.

Supply lists will be posted soon. I thought it had been done but nothing went as usual at the end of the year.

I will send more information as we receive it.

Respectfully,

Superintendent Terri Noe
