Gratitude Sustained

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” Oprah Winfrey Hi Terri,
Happy Thanksgiving! Whether you are celebrating today as a holiday or not, I hope you are finding joy, happiness and gratitude today.

This is the first Thanksgiving that Scott and I have been in town for years. Not only was it hard for Scott to take the extra time off of work with Thanksgiving being so late in the year, but since my dad’s hip fracture last Thanksgiving, it has become increasingly more difficult to travel with him. Thus, Thanksgiving in Cleveland this year.

The BEST part of the day so far has been that I did not have to fight with a single person to watch the Westminster Dog Show today. Whenever we have been visiting people in the past, the morning was always spent with the Macy’s Day Parade, followed by football. I don’t have anything against football, but watching that instead of perfectly groomed dogs prancing around an arena? I don’t think so.

Spoiler alert – I always cheer for the toy group – they’re just so darn cute! But this year, the bulldog won. He was really funny – moving just like you would expect a bulldog to run – okay trot – around the area. They all brought a smile to my face, and now it’s off to pick up my dad and go over my niece’s house for fun, food, and family.

Wishing you the best – today and every day! Happy Thanksgiving!

Have fun,
Lisa
