Enduring Gratitude

“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein
Hi Terri,
Without our miracle this week, we could have been down two family members this holiday season instead of just one – my stepfather, Gene. (We miss you, Gene!)

Here’s what happened… My brother-in-law, Brad, was on his way to the gym Monday evening when he felt a “choking feeling.” He stopped at a fire station and told them he didn’t feel right. The fireman called an ambulance and just as they got him strapped onto the cart, Brad went into full cardiac arrest. They worked on him for seven full minutes and brought him back to life.

Brad went to the hospital where they discovered a full blockage of one of his arteries. They put in a stent and the blockage is now clear. Here’s the miracle… Brad has no damage – none! The hospital workers considered him a “Miracle Man” and he truly is.

Brad went home Tuesday and aside from being sore from being “zapped” by the paramedics, he is doing well. He goes back to work on Monday. This nice thing is that his plant closes from December 20th until January 3, so he’ll have plenty of time to rest.

I am so happy and grateful that Brad is alive and kicking and I’m especially thankful to the hundreds of people who prayed for Brad after my Facebook post. When you need a miracle, believe it or not, Facebook prayers work!

Wishing you the happiest of holiday seasons and LOTS of your own miracles coming your way.

Have fun,

Lisa

PS – You can always find miracles when you’re looking for them!

Have a GREAT and grateful summer!
