Day 18 – Gratitude

The greater danger for most of us isn’t that our aim is too high and miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” – Michelangelo
Hi Terri,
Today’s Gratitude Thought is a celebration of a huge goal achieved. This Sunday, at 3:00 pm Mountain Time, I will be receiving my CSP – Certified Speaking Professional – designation. This is the highest earned award in the National Speakers Association, and only 17% of speakers ever receive it. With five years worth of financial goals, 250 speeches, 20 client recommendations and four people judging an hour-long video presentation, it’s a lot of paperwork, a long process, and a very big deal!

I’m sharing this with you for a couple of reasons. Worthy goals take time. As you look at your life and what you want to achieve, how can you take a baby step towards that goal? Patience, persistence, and a sense of humor definitely come into play too!

More importantly, when you do reach a goal – no matter how big or small – take the time to acknowledge yourself and celebrate your achievement. You deserve it! Others may not understand your excitement – it doesn’t matter. You are celebrating YOU!

Thank you for allowing me to share my celebration with you this week! I appreciate you!

Have fun,
Lisa

PS – It’s been said that goals that aren’t written down, are simply wishes. Take the time to write down your goals today.
