Day 17 – Gratitude

“Love your family. Spend time, be kind & serve one another. Make no room for regrets. Tomorrow is not promised & today is short.” unknown Hi Terri,
After almost three weeks of visiting with me, my mom went back to Atlanta on Tuesday morning. It was a fantastic visit! The weather cooperated – not only for my mother but also for all of the visitors that came to my fine city of Cleveland. Ohio, for the Baseball All-Star Game.

My mom moved from Cleveland in 1991, so it’s been a long time since she has stayed this long. It was a lot of fun to show off Cleveland and do a lot of the touristy things. Between the zoo, a lavender festival, the Cleveland Museum of Art, a Ukranian festival, the flats (entertainment district), going out on my brother-in-law’s boat, and lots of food, we had a fantastic time creating memories together.

If you haven’t taken the time to see your city from a visitor’s point of view, why not take some time and do so. You just may fall in love with your town all over again!

Have fun,

PS – No, we didn’t make it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. With the tall ships in town the same weekend, downtown was just a bit of a madhouse. Very nice to see that much tourism going on here!
