Day 7 – Gratitude

Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” —Zig Ziglar
Hi Terri,
Something really strange happened to me yesterday. I was creating space on my phone by moving some of my larger video files. I came across a video that I didn’t recognize, which was weird since, after all, this was MY phone.

I played the video and it turned out to be a clip from a Steve Harvey episode that aired on my birthday. In this video, a woman shared that she has been out of work for a year and she is struggling – not only financially, but socially, and emotionally as well. She was stuck and she was depressed.

Steve shared a beautiful philosophy on how the power of gratitude can help her. By taking account of the things that you HAVE in life, you start to make room for the things that you WANT. His experience was so powerful, that I wanted to share it with you:” These four minutes will brighten your day.

How this video got into my phone, I have no idea. But I’m really glad it did!

Have fun,

PS – 2019 marks ten years of my keeping a gratitude journal. I can tell you from experience, it works. If you haven’t started one yet, or have gotten out of the practice, do yourself a favor and start. You’ll be glad you did!
