Four Finneytown High School Art Students Recognized at University of Mt. St. Joseph

The University of Mount St. Joseph held the 19th Biennial Exhibition and Awards Gala for “Selections 2019”. The exhibition spotlighted art created by talented area high school students as selected by their art teachers. Of those recognized were 33 schools, 50 teachers and 90 students. Finneytown Secondary Campus had four students: Senior Jared Barnes [not pictured], Juniors Jillian Becksfort, Maria Seith and Brennan Jones. The artwork included colored pencil drawing, digital photography, and ceramics pieces.

FHS National Honor Society Inducts 23 New Students

Finneytown High School inducted 23 new students into National Honor Society last week. The newly inducted students represent the four pillars of scholarship with a cumulative GPA of 3.5, service with numerous community efforts, leadership through school, church, and community, and character they display every day. Whitaker Elementary Honors Veterans and First Responders in an Emotional Ceremony

Whitaker Elementary students, staff, and parents honored veterans and first responders in a memorable ceremony on Tuesday evening. Over 350 students, parents and community members attended and honored over 40 veterans and first responders. The Finneytown Marching Wildcats End Season On High Notes

And just like that the drums go quiet, the trumpets and trombones silent, the flutes and clarinets still, and the Finneytown Marching Band season comes to an end. The concluding contest, Mid-States Final, is over. During the course of the season, The Marching Wildcats earned Reserve Grand Champion or first place in three AAAA competitions, 3rd and 4th place in two contests, and 10th place at Mid-States Finals which included over 20 larger marching bands from the area. The Finneytown Local School District (the “District”) seeks Statements of Qualifications from design professionals to provide design and construction administration services for the District’s New K-6 Building and 7-12 Building Construction Project (the Project”). The Project is being constructed through the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission’s Expedited Local Partnership Program.  Interested firms may obtain a copy of the Request for Qualifications from Terri Noe, Superintendent, by email at tnoe@finneytown.org.  Qualifications will be accepted until noon on November 25, 2019.

The Finneytown Local School District Board of Education is requesting statements of qualifications pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 9.33, et seq., from firms to provide construction manager at risk services for its New K-6 and 7-12 Building Construction Project.
