Finneytown Local School District Strengthens Community Partnerships For Student Mental Health

In an effort to provide comprehensive programming and increase access to mental health counseling and supports, Finneytown Local School District is strengthening the bonds with community partners. Last school year, Finneytown Local School District began a partnership with MindPeace, a local organization that coordinates mental health services for educational agencies. The collaboration allows FLSD to meet the mental health needs of all of the students in addition to families. Through the coordination with MindPeace, FLSD is currently partnering with Catalyst Counseling LLC to provide access for mental health services in each of the buildings. Counselors focus on the strength of the students during the counseling sessions to develop a better understanding of the individual student’s needs. Catalyst’s self-sustaining work allows the district to be free from financial investment and allows families the ability to utilize private insurance, Medicaid, or private pay to access services.  Additionally, students have access to counselors throughout the day at school. Mrs. Noe, Superintendent, commented, “Partnering with MindPeace and Catalyst has helped us increase and improve the services available to Finneytown children and their families.”  For more information about the services, please visit
