Finneytown High School students continue to develop their leadership skills through conferences held at the University of Cincinnati. The leadership conference held several breakout sessions, and students connected with nonprofit leaders and other high school students to support a range of causes in our community.
The breakout sessions included interactive presentations and hands-on activities related to service-learning or social impact areas. Students brainstormed ideas about starting a “Hope Squad” on campus that addresses mental health issues. They also expressed an interest to get involved with Matthew 25 Ministries to assist those in the larger community of the Greater Cincinnati area. Furthermore, they discussed creating a club that beautifies our school to continue the tradition of the beautification of Finneytown! In addition, the students learned a variety of things about looking deeper into our community as well as how to lead the school.
The leadership students at Finneytown continue to grow and excel. We are proud of what they do each day and of the productive citizens they are becoming.
