When Finneytown Local Schools open for the 2019-2020 school year, Meredith Baker will assume the role of Brent’s new principal. As an eight-year veteran and former first grade teacher, she looks forward to her new role serving the students, staff, and community of Finneytown, especially Brent Elementary. “I was drawn to Finneytown for the strong sense of community that is evident everywhere you go. Finneytown has a history of focusing on relationships and doing what’s right for students. The opportunity to be part of this community is a blessing, and I could not be more eager to begin my journey here,” Baker stated. Mrs. Noe is excited to have Ms. Baker joining the administrative team at Finneytown. “Ms. Baker is student centered and supports her staff. She has been attending training with us this summer and already feels like a connected part of our leadership team!”, said Noe.
Families will have a chance to meet her before school starts at the Community Outreach on August 13th or at Popsicles with the Principal at Brent on Thursday, August 15th at 6:30 pm or at the Back to School Celebration at Brent on Monday, August 19th at 5 pm.
Baker earned her undergraduate degree from Miami University majoring in Early Childhood Education and her graduate degree from Xavier University in Education Administration.
